This old ice cream dipper was manufactured by the Erie Specialty Co. of Erie Pennsylvania around 1915. It appears to be made of nickeled brass and bronze with a wood handle. The Erie Specialty Company was prolific during the first part of 1900 and made many varied scoops. The patent for this scoop was applied for in 1911 by the inventor Edwin Walker and the patent was issued in 1915. The thumb plate is marked Erie Specialty Co. – Erie PA. and the disc on the opposing side reads; Quick and Easy.

FYI: This piece is in excellent vintage condition. As expected with vintage, used, and / or secondhand items, this item has some wear consistent with age. See pictures. Video available upon request.
